An ingenious new adaptation of Ben Jonson’s playtext by Tangle’s Artistic Director Anna Coombs
Prior to Tangle’s 2020 production, Volpone, using its original text, had never before been performed by a wholly African and Caribbean cast. Neither had it been accompanied by an originally composed score of Zimbabwean jazz fusion music or, as far as we know, performed by an ensemble of just three.
We are thrilled to share with you our Artistic Director Anna Coombs’ ingenious reworking of the play, complete with an introduction about the adaptation and some of the production's striking images.
There are two versions available: a book and an e-book in pdf format.
The book costs £10, including second class Royal Mail delivery (UK addresses only).
The e-book costs £5 and is delivered via email.
