Ariane is Brazilian, with an Angolan/Portuguese father and a Brazilian/Italian mother.

Aged 18, she graduated from a 3-year Drama & Theatre Arts college programme from São Paulo’s Shakespeare College, subsequently producing and directing shows in both her native city and also  Belém do Pará, where she studied for her first degree in Psychology.

Ariane moved  to the UK in 2003, and graduated in Contemporary Performance from Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret University’s Drama & Theatre Arts course in 2011. She has worked at almost every Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2008. Prior to going freelance, she was Marketing and Press Manager for Tightlaced Theatre, Press Manager at Soho Theatre, and was part of the press team at The Barbican Centre's art gallery.

Ariane is especially dedicated to working with female & queer-led practices, political, charitable and social change projects, and under-represented artists and companies.
